Israel’s Blasphemy and Her Ultimate Salvation

Sadly, once again, many Christians take Israel’s verses out of context and try to apply to themselves, causing confusion, frustration, and seeming contradiction.

During the earthly ministry of Christ, Israel was warned by Him concerning a sin which would not be forgiven. We read about this unforgivable sin here below.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: BUT the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Matthew 12:31-32 (KJV)

In context it is very clear that this pronouncement of an unforgivable sin is drawn from Israel's reaction to the ministry of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:22-30). Jesus had, by the Holy Spirit, cast out devils and the religious crowd in Israel accredited that work of the Holy Spirit as satanic, even resisting the demonstration of the Spirit's power… Israel rejected the work and witness of the Holy Spirit

Now, if you will look at and read all the warnings of Hebrews within the framework of a proper dispensational setting and grasp the element of timing in these things, you will surely understand that each warning expresses the essences of what the Lord had warned Israel about in Matthew 12.

Just consider the other warnings to Israel in these Epistles written to and for “the Circumcision [Israel].” The whole New Testament except for Paul’s Epistles are to and concerning “the lost sheep” and later the “scattered” sheep of “the house of Israel.”

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 15:24 (KJV)

13 But he [of Israel] that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13 (KJV)

13 Let no man [of Israel] say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. James 1:13-16 (KJV)

15 And if we [of Israel] know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. 1 John 5:15-17 (KJV)

Note these verses in the light of their proper dispensational setting of Israel under ‘the Law of Moses.’ You will plainly see that the sin unto death would be “blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.” This sin would be committed when individual Israelites reject the testimony of God through the “Little Flock” (Luke 12:32) of Jesus’ Messianic believers among Israel. These rejectors count Jesus’ shed blood of the New Covenant, not only for themselves but also for their nation as a whole, an unholy thing; doing this despite the Spirit of Grace being offered… as they give allegiance to the antichrist system. The final act of their rebellion would be the acceptance of the mark of the beast, 666.

In Hebrews 10:26, clearly written and directed to the Hebrews, the admonition states: “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,”

Without understanding its proper dispensational setting, this passage is often mistakenly taught in opposition to the doctrine of eternal security of a member of Christ's One Body. In other words, people think the verse says, “For if we sin willfully after that we have received SALVATION, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.” But does it say SALVATION? No, it says, “...after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, ...” Salvation is not the issue here. Yes, knowledge of the truth can and should lead to salvation, but the verse is clear; what is received is the knowledge of the truth ... this is what the verse says.

The word “knowledge” here is the Greek word epi-gnosis, which means full knowledge. Epi-gnosis is used to express that what is written is complete lacking nothing. The Epistle to the Hebrews is the written message of the Twelve Apostles' doctrine (Acts 2:42 cf. Hebrews 2:3-4). This Epistle is the full knowledge of Jesus Christ according to Prophecy... coming and dying as Messiah Through the doctrines explained in Hebrews, Israel came to the full knowledge of who God has made Jesus Christ to be for them by the Holy Spirit. They can understand, they can see, they are not any longer ignorant as ignorance has been removed by the epi-gnosis. So, for Israel to reject the message contained in the book of Hebrews would be to commit blasphemy of the Holy Ghost as these words are from God the Spirit (2 Peter 1:21 cf. 2 Timothy 3:16).

Today, since Israel’s rejection and “fall” (Rom. 11:10-11), God is not dealing with Israel nor working their Kingdom program today. Israel and its prophecy program have been set aside, while the unprophesied new program of the pure “grace of God” (Acts 20:24) is being offered to “all men.”

Today’s age is called “the dispensation of the Grace of God” (Ephesians 3:2). Blasphemy of Christ or the Holy Ghost is impossible to commit. It can’ be done for it was not given by Jesus Christ to the Gentiles to commit; it was given to Israel only (Matt. 15:24), within the dispensational setting of Prophecy that concerns Israel.

Today’s “dispensation [relational age] of the Grace of God,” which, by the way, had been kept secret from the foundation of the world,” and known in Paul’s epistles as “The Mystery” … was revealed to Paul only after Israel’s stoning of Stephen, and it is now revealed to us through Paul as “the [singular] Apostle to the Gentiles” (Rom. 11:13).

Israel’s Prophecy program will one day be revived by God and Israel will be brought to the threshold of speaking against the Holy Ghost again after the Rapture of the Gentile “body of Christ,” during her final days. Israel will then have to decide who Jesus of Nazareth was and now is, and to name Jesus as Messiah; as God moves upon Abraham's physical descendants to fulfill their role in the prophetic program.

Of course, we know that those of Israel who have been “foreknown” (Rom. 8:29) of the Lord will be saved according to His grace toward them at that time.

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. Zechariah 12:10 (KJV)

9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob [Israel] be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. Isaiah 27:9 (KJV)

Paul also spoke of this coming day for Israel… when their current blindness will be removed, after the age of the Gentiles ends with the Rapture of the members of “the body of Christ.”

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery [secret], lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, UNTIL the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Romans 11:25-27 (KJV)

Then Israel shall co-reign with Christ in His Kingdom come on earth… forever. (Rev 5:10, 20:6)
