Our God is entirely purposeful. God’s two programs, Prophecy and Mystery, involve His two regenerated people groups as His agents, ‘Israel’ and “the body of Christ.” The two programs are aimed at recovering His dominion over two realms, “the HEAVEN and the EARTH.” For this is His One eternal purpose.

In the course of executing His plan, God our Father obtained what He also sought, which was offspring or children born of His own Spirit-loins, through a plan by which they would freely choose and love Him.

“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, ⁵ To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. ⁶ And because ye are sons, God Hath Sent Forth The Spirit of His Son Into Your Hearts, Crying, Abba, Father.” (Galatians 4:4-6 (KJV)

In eternity future, Father God wants to glorify His Son, Jesus Christ, through whom both “in Heaven and on Earth” are to be fully recovered. As per the “eternal purpose which [God] purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Eph. 3:11), the governments of Heaven and Earth will ultimately be brought under the headship of the Lord Jesus Christ. His eternal reign in Heaven and on Earth is to be executed through Christ’s Spirit indwelling His agents, the nation Israel on earth and “the body of Christ” in Heaven.

“That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are In Heaven, and Which Are On Earth; even in him:” (Ephesians 1:10 (KJV)

“And I saw a NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” (Revelation 21:1 (KJV)

What Satan has corrupted and polluted with sin and destruction God will then cleanse and restore. There will then be a “NEW HEAVEN” and a “NEW EARTH,” ‘new’ (Gk. kainos, refreshed) in that they will be remade or refreshed. (2Pet 3:13; Rev 21:21)

“For by him [Jesus Christ] were all things created, that are In Heaven, And That Are In Earth, visible [on earth]and invisible [the heavenly Spirit realm], whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers [levels of rank and authority in the angelic realm]: all things were created by him, and for him: ¹⁷And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. ¹⁸And he is The Head Of The Body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he [Christ] might have the preeminence. ¹⁹For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; ²⁰And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to RECONCILE all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be Things IN EARTH, or Things IN HEAVEN.” (Col. 1:16-20)

• Through “the Church, the Body of Christ,” Jesus Christ will ultimately have preeminence in “the HEAVENLY PLACES.” The members of “His body” will take up the offices of rank and authority in place of Satan and his fallen angelic host.

“[8] Unto me (Paul), who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; [9] And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the MYSTERY, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

[10] To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places [the fallen angelic powers in heaven] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, [11] According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord….” (Eph. 3:8-12)

• Then also Jesus Christ will ultimately have preeminence on EARTH through a redeemed, believing, Israel functioning as His agents on earth.

“And hast made us [Israel] unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Rev. 5:10 (KJV)
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they [Israel] shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:6 (KJV)

Thus, Jesus Christ will ultimately have preeminence both in Heaven with “the body of Christ” as His agents in “the heavenly places,” (Eph. 1:13) and on Earth through a redeemed, believing, Israel as His agents on earth.  It will then be one overall kingdom, functioning in two realms, for His one eternal purpose!

“[8] Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; [9] Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: [10] That in the dispensation of the fulness of times [at the end of all ages] he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are IN HEAVEN, and which are ON EARTH; even in him:….” (Eph. 1:8-10)
