Part 4 - The End of the Scarlet Harlot

This Article is part of a multi-part Study Series called The Scarlet Harlot Religion Identified.

The dominion of the ‘Scarlet Harlot religion and its leader’ will run from the Post-Rapture time gap until Mid-Tribulation, which is when the “Ten Kings” make the “Harlot” desolate (abandoned) and destroy her.

“And the ten horns [Ten Kings] which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall Hate The Whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast [the Antichrist], Until The Words Of God Shall Be Fulfilled.” (Revelation 17:16-17 (KJV)

This from Daniel 7 is a parallel prophetic passage to that above, adding more detail.

“Thus, he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth [great worldwide] kingdom upon earth [this will be Antichrist’s kingdom], which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the Whole Earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another [Antichrist] shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first [first ten], and he shall subdue three kings.

25 And He Shall Speak Great Words Against The Most High [God], and shall wear out the saints [believers] of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they [Israel’s kingdom believers] shall be given into his hand untila time and times and the dividing of time[totaling 3-1/2 years].” (Daniel 7:23-25 (KJV)

Revelation 17:16-17 (above) tell us what happens after the Harlot is deposed. The world’s worship then becomes deflected fromthe Scarlet Harlot’ … to Satan’s representative, ‘The Antichrist.’ With the Harlot destroyed, the Antichrist Reigns Alone during the final 3-1/2 years of the Tribulation period. This period as seen in Daniel 7:25 (above) spans ‘a time (meaning, a year) and times (2 years) and the dividing of time [6 months]or 3-1/2 years, 42 months (cf. Rev. 13:5), or 1260 days (cf. Rev. 12:6), which most Bible scholars agree, is the last 3-1/2 years of the 7-year Tribulation period.

Thus, the ‘Ten Kings’ do away with ‘the Harlot,’ then giving their authority and their ‘ten regions of the world’ over to the Antichrist. With the backing of the ‘Ten Kings’ on his resume, the Antichrist then exercises his authority ‘Worldwidethroughout the 2nd half of the Tribulation period.

Deductive reasoning enables us to conclude that the transfer of authority from the Harlot to Antichrist occurs in the middle of the 7-year Tribulation Period, reserving the final 3-1/2 years for the rule of Antichrist alone.

The Scarlet Harlot, who sits as “a Queen” is to be destroyed “in a day.”

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings [political leader] of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants [having commercial interest in her cashless economy] of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a QUEEN, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. (There is more to be explained about this “Queen” in Part 8 of this Study Series)

9  And the kings [world leaders] of the earth, who have [in time past] committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10  Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that Great City Babylon, That Mighty City! For In One Hour Is Thy Judgment Come. (Revelation 18:1-10 (KJV)

Yet, it is clear from verse 4 (above) that there are some individuals within this ‘Harlot Religion,’ whose hearts the Lord knows. To them a voice from heaven” says;

Come Out Of Her [come out of that evil ‘Ecclesiastical Babylon religious system’], ‘My People,’ that ye be not partakers of her [the Harlot’s] sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues [judgment due the Harlot].”

So, there apparently are some within that ‘evil Harlot religious system’ of the Tribulation who God considers potential believers, as His “my people.” They have the opportunity to “come out of her” (they likely be ‘martyred’), joining the believers of Israel’s “little flock” remnant of that day in order to be saved. They will have opportunity to become genuine ‘kingdom believers’ if they “come out of her” to be saved under Israel’s “Gospel of the Kingdom” that will be preached by the 144,002 Jewish evangelists of the first 3-1/2 years of the 7-year Tribulation period. The 144.000 evangelists are to be chosen from among Israel’s ‘twelve tribes,’ excluding of the Tribe of Dan. It is most likely that these “my people” converts from the Harlot religion will be among the many martyrs of the Tribulation period.
