Paul's Grace Gospel' Is Unique

It is true that now there is but one gospel and God’s anathema is pronounced upon any who would presume to proclaim any other (Gal.1:8,9), but those who suppose that Paul proclaimed the same good news which the twelve before him had proclaimed, should carefully read Galatians 2:1-9 below.

"Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. 2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that (unique) gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. 3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: 4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. 6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me (Paul), as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision (Israel), the same was mighty in me (Paul) toward the Gentiles:) 9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we (Paul and company) should go unto the heathen (Gentiles), and they unto the circumcision." Galatians 2:1-9 (KJV)

'The twelve' had been proclaiming the Lord’s “gospel of the kingdom" to and for Israel. But the King and His kingdom were rejected by Israel. Israel had fallen and was set aside for a time (Rom 11:10-11, 25). Thus, God raised up Paul to proclaim a new gospel called “the Gospel of the Grace of God” (Acts 20:24) that God had eternally planned for to the 'all men' as Gentiles. In Galatians 1:11-12, this Apostle Paul declares: "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man, for I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

This is only one of many passages in which Paul declares that he was commissioned to proclaim a special message of God's 'salvation by grace, through faith in Christ alone'  (Eph 2:8-9) by the resurrected, glorified, Lord Himself (Eph 3:1-4; Rom16:25; etc.).

Verses 7 and 9 tell how Peter, James and John “they saw” and “perceived” the grace that had been given to Paul, so that they publicly and officially gave Paul "the right hands of fellowship", acknowledging him as the Apostle of grace, sent to the world with a message of grace: "Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Rom.3:24).
