SALVATION IS OF GOD……FOR ONLY GOD CAN SAVE:

Salvation is of God (Jonah 2:9; Salvation is of the LORD H3068 – Jehovah, Jewish name of God),……..

Why is salvation only of the Lord? Because the sacrifice had to be without blemish and without spot (1Pet.1:19 ). Natural man could not qualify as the sacrificial lamb, man having the law of sin in his members (Rom.7:23), which he inherited from father Satan (Jn.8:44).

Jesus – having God as His Father – broke this Adamic line of succession having no law of sin in His members (He said, the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me (Jn.14:30). Jesus therefore qualified to be the sacrificial Lamb without sin.

CHRIST’S BODY, PREPARED FOR SACRIFICE.

1Pe 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things…….(19)  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (20)  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Redeemed with the blood of Jesus, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Heb 10:5,9,10  Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (9)  Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God……..  (10)  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

“a body hast thou prepared me,”……..a body, “without blemish and without spot,……..”

The body of Jesus had no law of sin in its members and was therefore sinless (the devil had nothing in Jesus). This was the perfect body God required to take away the sin of the world (Jn.1:29).

The genes comprising the body of any baby, come 50% from the mother and 50% from the father (See NEW 23 BIRTH OF A BABY).

So, the body hast thou prepared me……the body of Jesus, had 50% of Mary’s genes and 50% of God the Father’s genes, making Jesus fully God and also fully man!

As with all babies, the life and nature come from the father’s seed – Jesus received God the Son as the Father’s Seed, which Seed contained the life and nature of God.

JESUS FULLY GOD AND FULLY MAN. --- (Grudem; SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY).

“Mat 1:23  Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

The assertion that Jesus was fully God and fully man in one person, though not a contradiction, is a paradox that we fully cannot understand in this age.

The doctrine of the incarnation as understood by the church throughout history has indeed been coherent and intelligible, though no one maintains that it provides us with an exhaustive explanation of how Jesus is both fully God and fully man.”

“The Chalcedonian Definition of AD451 helps us understand Biblical teaching correctly. It taught that Christ has two natures, a human nature and a divine nature. It taught that His divine nature is exactly the same as that of the Father. And it maintained that the human nature is exactly like our human nature, yet without sin. Moreover, it maintained that in the person of Christ the human nature retains its distinctive characteristics and the divine nature retains its distinctive characteristics (“the distinction of natures being by no means taken away by the union, but rather the property of each nature being preserved”). Finally, it affirmed that, whether we can understand it or not, these two natures are united together in the one person of Christ.”

BELIEVERS NO LONGER CONSIDER JESUS AS A MAN.

2Co 5:16  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

At Gethsemane, Jesus as a man, was in agony as he prayed to the Father over the taking of the cup, so Father sent angels to minister to Him (Lk.22:43). He agonised as He prayed to the Father, sweating great drops of blood (Lk.22:44 ). It took Jesus’ specially prepared body – a body fully God and fully man – to ingest the cup that contained all of humanity as well as all the sins of mankind.

The above stresses the fact that no human body alone could have sufficed as God’s sacrifice for sin, it had to be “a body hast thou prepared me.” (Heb.10:5).

IMPORTANT: If you do away with Jesus being fully God as well as fully man, you do away with salvation, and you do away with Christianity!

This is why;…. Beware: 2Pe 2:1  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Do not deny the Lord!..... Do not deny the fact that Jesus of Nazareth was both fully God as well as fully man.

Wow!......Can we not praise the ever-living God for His love shown in His incredible plan of salvation?

QUESTION?

With Christ in us as our life, are we not also fully God and fully man?

Unfortunately not!......We were born with a corruptible seed from a human father.

When we were rebirthed, Christ joined Himself to our spirit, making us perfect in spirit only.

We are not perfect in soul and body. Our soul is constantly being renewed to Christ’s mind – this will go on for now and all eternity – Christ being God has an infinite mind to which we will never attain.

At the rapture we will receive new bodies like unto His glorious body.

Being re-birthed with Christ within, we only house God – we’re the vessel that contains both Christ and the Holy Spirit. We’re the cup, He’s the coffee!
