I have often been disappointed in myself in that I have sinned after knowing not to, even while knowing so much Bible. The question then becomes, “How could I do such a thing?” and “How can I not sin?” The fact is that after our salvation we soon recognize that we have a stubborn ‘heart’ problem that needs resetting. Thankfully, God’s grace and His ongoing work upon our soul, over time … ‘repurposes our heart.’
There is a common assumption that there is only one Gospel message in the Bible. This is a misconception. We can avoid it by understanding there are at least two basic Gospel messages in the Bible. While there is only one Gospel message today, God did not reveal the grace gospel for today until the Apostle Paul received it from the Ascended Lord Jesus. God has had other Gospel messages valid at other times in human history.
We read in Matthew chapter 16:13-23.
A friend asks: “Have you heard the good news?” and you reply: “What good news?” Naturally! Not all good news is the same. The word “Gospel” simply means “the good news.”
Yet today, few people ask this question, “What gospel” when they read in the Bible the phrase “the gospel.”

The Power Of The Gospel Of Grace

How wonderful to see “the gospel of the grace of God” (Act 20:24) do its work!
Paul had never even seen the Colossians. He had only sent missionaries to them from Ephesus with the good news of the grace of God, but this gospel of grace had produced amazing results.
These verses gives us the core basis for a secure salvation by God's grace through faith alone ... in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1Cor 15:3-4 I (Paul) delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

Let's now compare the clearly delineated requirements of the two Biblical gospels for salvation. Both being found in the so-called New Testament of our Bibles and apply to two different peoples in two different ages.
