The Automatic Blessings of Our Salvation by Faith in Jesus Christ.

Few people know all that Father God does the very instant a sinner believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. This paper concerns the inward works of the Holy Spirit of God … in the believer.

We list below some of the blessings we enjoy “in Christ,” which every believer immediately receives the moment they first believe.

1 Corinthians 2:12 (KJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; [so] that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

  1. Automatically when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior you are saved from both judgment and perdition.

Romans 8:1a There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…

  1. Automatically when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ you are forgiven of ALL Sins, justified freely, and have access to God.

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 4:5-7 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

  1. Automatically when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ you are baptised (placed or set) into “the body of Christ.”

1 Corinthians 12:13 For also by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free, even all were made to drink into one Spirit.

  1. Automatically when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you as to your Old Self are dead, you are buried, and you are raised to “newness of Life.”

Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were [dry] baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: [so] that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)

Colossians 2:12 buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised through the faith of the operation of God, raising Him from the dead.

Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you ALL trespasses,

Colossians 2:14 blotting out the handwriting of ordinances [the Law] that was against us, which was contrary to us, and has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.

  1. Automatically when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you have lost your ethnicity and your nationality. You are a member of a new race, the family of God.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:9 Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds

Colossians 3:10 and having put on the new, having been renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

Colossians 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, slave or freeman, but Christ is all things in all.

The Seeded Life of God in Christ… as the life generating “Seed” that Conceived His Life In Us:

1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed [Grk. sperma], but of incorruptible [seed, Grk. sperma], through the living Word of God, and abiding forever.

[cf. “the living Word” is Christ, John 1:1)

2 Peter 1:4 through which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Christ as “the Seed” of God the Father indwells every believer’s “spirit of man” with His “divine nature.” You can never again be as you were. The God nature is in the God-seed, which is Christ. When the sinner is regenerated, he has not only Christ as Saviour and as his life. He thereby has been received into the God-family.

Galatians 3:16 (KJV) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
2 Peter 1:6 (KJV) And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

6)         Automatically when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you have been re-generated (i.e., born again). You have entered into “the mystery” of all mysteries. You have come to union with Christ as was God’s intention for you;

Titus 3:5 (KJV) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Ephesians 1:4 according as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.

By simply believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, you are be baptized (placed or set into) into Christ by the Holy Spirit.

Acts16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household [this offer applies also to your household]

This means that believers then have a whole new life, a whole new gospel, a new eternal destiny, and a whole new understanding of God’s eternal plan for humans. It means we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenlies in Christ.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ;

We as members of the Church, which is His body,” (Eph. 1:22b-23a) are now seated together in the heavenlies placed in Christ.”

Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:6 (KJV)

We are destined to “reign with Him [Christ]” in the heavenly places forever.

2 Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: …
2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle [body] were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens
