in Christ

‘Christ in You’ verses ‘You in Christ’

Paul says these two things about those who are saved: you are in Christ, and Christ is in you.

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery (Gk. musterion, secret) among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” – Colossians 1:27-28

Believers are Joint-Heirs with Christ

From the moment you first trusted in Christ, you became a member of the body of Christ.

Like any membership, there are immediate benefits. The benefits are given to you freely by your identification with Christ.

For example, did you know that if you were dry “baptized into Christ” you were crucified with Him? “I am crucified with Christ…” (Gal. 2:20)

Part 5 - The Facts of Our New Identity “In Christ”:

Part 5 - The Facts of Our New Identity “In Christ”:

During today’s age of “the grace of God” salvation comes to those who do not work for it. Rather those who believe, looking to the Cross of Christ as their source of the liberty from Sin’s power and as the root source of the of resurrection life… flows to those who receive His life by grace through faith alone.

Part 2 - A New Paradigm

God is not today dealing with us as He dealt with Israel in “time past,” we are under grace, not law. Attempting to follow Israel’s Law program will only cause sin to dominate us. God’s grace-based acceptance system involves us placing our faith our Apostle’s epistles, Paul says Christ Jesus lives His life in us and desires to flow through us, thereby making our Christian life pleasing to God.
