Many people erroneously assume that salvation is God’s reward to those who do their best to live good lives. Since this is what the vast majority of the ‘manmade religious systems’ of the many manmade religious hierarchical institutions present, they rely upon the religious works,’ ritual, rites, creeds, prayers, tithes, donations, etc. which have no power to Save them.

Perhaps you at one time pondered “the gift of God” of Ephesians 2:8-9, asking is the gift to be understood as being… salvation, or is it grace, or is it faith?

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is THE GIFT OF GOD: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)

“IF thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)

Saved from Eternal Death … by Christ’s Life

The Bible speaks about things for which many people are searching. For example, the Bible answers our questions the creation of the world; the cause of evil in the world; the great cause of death, man’s purpose of existence, and the hope of eternal life.

Believers need to know, understand and appreciate that the salvation they enjoy has to do with these Biblical terms that develop in this order.

God created man in His own “image,” as a vessel well suited to receive and be in union with God.

But, Adam & Eve were tempted of the lie of the Devil to “Sin” in disobedience…

Man has his own ideas of what salvation is, as to what he is saved from and what he is saved to.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)

But then, “the Word of God” also reveals what God has to say about salvation, being saved from what and saved to what.

Would you like to have the knowledge, assurance, and joy of your sins forgiven?

Would you like to be sure of heaven?

Well, the first step to heaven is to realize that you cannot get there by trying. You can’t walk there. You can’t climb there. You can’t fly there. You can’t earn your way.

In Ephesians 1:13 the Apostle Paul declares that men today are saved and sealed “with the Sprit” by… hearing and believing “the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.”

Some preachers say: “There are many things in the Bible which are hard to understand but, thank God, the plan of salvation is as simple as can be.”  I would say yes! The plan of salvation is simple… but only IF we obey Paul’s admonition of 2Timothy 2:15 to “rightly divide the Word of truth.” Otherwise, as you will see, the Bible is a book of seeming contradiction and confusion.

These verses gives us the core basis for a secure salvation by God's grace through faith alone ... in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
