Understanding Gods Answer to Evil

‘Evil’ is sourced in the person of “The Evil One,’ Lucifer, who was “the sinner from the beginning” (1John 3:8). The ‘evil’ of all Sin is Lucifer’s very nature. One-third of the angelic host followed Lucifer in his rebellion against ‘the Most High God,’ creator of the universe. Then when Adam was created, Lucifer soon infected Adam with his Devilish ‘sin nature’; when Eve and Adam believed the Serpent’s lies saying they “could be as Gods.” In that way the sin nature of the Devil that we see expressed in the world today was virally passed to all Adam’s seed or lineage, including us (cf. Rom. 5:12).

God's redemptive response was according to His plan “from before the foundation of the world.” God had already in His mind planned the redemption of mankind via "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world," referring to the sacrifice Jesus Christ death which was the core of God's plan for our redemption of mankind. This emphasizes that Jesus’ sacrifice was intentional and preordained, highlighting God's love and purpose for humanity.

God’s remedy for evil in the universe today is deeply rooted in that gospel message. That good news message emphasizes God’s love, mercy, forgiveness, and the promise of salvation unto ‘everlasting life’ with Him. This is achieved only by one’s faith in God’s words as written in the text of the Bible, not as commonly heard among man’s religion that is largely built upon man’s ideas and control. Immedicably upon one’s expression of faith in Jesus Christ, His resurrected “Spirit of life” enters and joins with that believer’s “spirit of man” and they become “one spirit.” (cf. 1Cor 6:17). Thereby the believer who was from birth spiritually “dead in sin” thereby receives God’s “seed which is Christ” (Gal. 3:16) with the Spiritual DNA of Father God, which includes His “everlasting life.”

The Role of “the Gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24)

• Suffering and Solidarity: Meanwhile God shares in our suffering, demonstrating that He understands our pain and struggles. His Son Jesus was rejected by His own family and mankind crucified “the Savior of the world.”
• Salvation through Jesus Alone: Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection is central to God's plan to provide every genuine believer with Jesus’ resurrection life to overcome evil, sin, and death.

The Assurance of Victory

• Temporary Struggle: The challenges posed by evil are temporary. The gospel assures genuine believers that God has already achieved ultimate victory over evil by the Cross of Christ.
• Hope for the Future: This victory is not just a future promise but a present reality for those who accept the message of salvation.

Summary of Key Points

Through the gospel, God provides a comprehensive answer to the problem of evil, sin, death and evil, emphasizing His enduring love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, and the promise of eternal redemption with ‘Joy unspeakable.’ If you’ve genuinely ‘received Christ’ you share in that same ‘joy.’ “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (Jn 1:12)
