The “Law” simply identified and exposed sin (Rom. 7:7). The Law could never make one righteous or produce the good fruits of righteousness. The Laws of God on Stone have no life to give. The Law was meant to frustrate and push convicted, humbled, sincere people to find Salvation by another means… by faith in the Cross-work of Jesus Christ.
It certainly clear from Paul’s epistles that according to the “gospel of the grace of God,” which Paul received from the ascended Lord from heaven for the Gentiles… faith alone stands supreme as the basis of salvation.
“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified By Faith without the deeds of the law.” (Romans 3:28 (KJV)
We as believers are intended to live in union with Christ, subject to Christ as our counterpart, our Head, as if he were our husband. But, being free to be in union with Christ is no assurance that we are actually living in a submitted union with Christ. As regenerated Christian, we are objectively, forever saved in Christ, but we may not necessarily be subjectively abiding in union with Christ as our Head and “Lord” (Greek, kurious, controller). It is for us to remain abiding in union with Him, yielding to His indwelling life in our daily living.
