Part 2 – Spiritual Insight
After Paul lost his eyesight the day he was converted on the road to Damascus, he soon miraculously recovered his physical sight, and then spent 3 years in the desert of “Arabia” (Gal. 1:17).

Some ask how to better memorize Bible verses.
It's important to know your Bible, and memorized verses in your mind are a resource, ready when needed. You are building a reservoir of truth which your soul’s mind may draw on as needed to help weave together lines of truth... sometimes as words of comfort for yourself, or to share your understandings as the Lord may lead you by HIs Spirit.
Paul recognized that he of himself did not hold the power to dispense revelation. Revelation is God’s prerogative, so Paul prayed this in Ephesians in 1:17-18.
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple” (Psalm 119:130).
“3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
It's wonderful to have the full assurance of salvation, and it is God’s will that every one of us enjoy this assurance. Such security permits believers to live securely in rest and peace.
Toward the close of his life the Apostle John wrote these words. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life…” (I John 5:13).
The Word of God, the Bible, is God breathed or of "the Spirit of God." Proper study in dependence upon the Spirit therefore brings us to spiritual maturity and understanding that is of "the Spirit of God." It does not require superior intellectual powers to understand these “deep things of God.”
