Below, in Ephesians 3:9-11, Paul makes a statement regarding the “the mystery [Gk. musterion, the God-ordained secret]” of Christ literally indwelling all His believers “in heaven and on earth.”

Have you ever considered carefully the opening words of the Bible? “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Why doesn’t it simply say that God created the Universe? Why the heaven and the earth?

Earth’s innumerable evils do not mean there is no God, or that (if there is a God) He is cruel or apathetic. Scripture is quite clear that God’s restoration of Earth is momentarily suspended. His present program works invisibly in the heavenly places.
